Hacride are a band from France that plays a mixture of progressive death and groove metal and this is a review of their 2013 album "Back To Where You've never been" which was released by Indie Recordings.
The album starts out with dark sounding synths before going into a more heavy and progressive direction along with a mixture of clean and heavy parts which also leads up to clean singing vocals before going into a more aggressive direction.
When the album goes into other songs the music starts mixing groove and progressive metal together while also having the heaviness of death metal and on some of the songs they bring in a small amount of acoustic guitars and instrumentals and they never bring any guitar solos or leads into the record and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
While this is a style I would listen to all the time Hacride still have a very decent sound to them with the way the mix groove, progressive and death metal together and the album has some interesting moments.
Song lyrics cover society and religion themes, while the production has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion Hacride are a very decent sounding mixture of groove, progressive and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Strive Ever To More" "Overcome" and "Requiem For A Lullaby". 7 out of 10.
