Mesatiah Interview

1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?

Formed in 2008, Mesetiah is a death metal band from Finland influenced mostly by the 90's metal scene.
The idea was to play some serious death metal and have fun while doing so.

2.Recently you have released an ep, can you tell us a little bit more about the musical direction it has taken and also how does it differ from your previous 2 full lengths?

It's a more darker tone on this ep than it is on our previous albums.
As for how it differs,
the band keeps constantly evolving,  both in songwriting and in production,
and you will be able to hear that on this ep.

3.Can you tell us a little bit more about the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the new release?

Fictional stories of life and death.

4.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Mesetiah'?

We had to come up with a name for the band and this popped up after a few pretty crazy ideas.

5.What are some of the best shows that the band has played over and also how would you describe your stage performance?

PRKL Club in Helsinki and Henry's Pub in Kuopio, both in 2011.
Both are legendary in Finland.
Unforgettable trips with good laughs.

On stage? With brutal, catchy tunes and fierce headbanging, Mesetiah won't leave the crowd bored.

6.Do you have any touring or show plans for the future?

As for the moment, no tours.
Smaller shows are in plans.

A smaller independent label that has so far served us well.

8.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of death and thrash metal?

The response has been overall good.

9.What direction do you see your music heading into on future releases?

It's gonna go deeper and darker.
Brutal and catchy riffs coming up with
some solid production.

Considering the band has for the first time in it's existence, finally found a producer that can bring out what the band can deliver,
it will have an huge impact on future releases.
